Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering
Department
Introduction
Introduction
The Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering is dedicated to exploring technology that can be applied across a wide range of industries, from automotive to aerospace, based on the foundation of mechanical engineering. The applied engineering field based on mechanical engineering is becoming increasingly important due to rapid technological advancements and globalization. Furthermore, it is also a field in which competition among nations is steadily increasing.
Modern engineering has evolved into new forms of advanced engineering by transcending the boundaries between academic disciplines driven by the industrial platformization, which involves the technical convergence between mechanical, materials, electronic, environmental, and artificial intelligence fields. As a result, new advanced technologies such as Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Intelligent Technology, and Aerospace Technology have emerged.
Aligned to these technical trends, the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Shinhan University is aiming to provide education in interdisciplinary technologies that are in high demand internationally, going beyond the traditional mechanical engineering, including development, manufacturing, and operation. Our department places a strong emphasis on enhancing horizontal technical competencies to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological landscape driven by international industrial demand. We will provide education that focuses on the interdisciplinary convergence of advanced mechanical engineering and software technologies, and industry-oriented practical training. Through this approach, we aim to cultivate ambitious and creative talents with international competitiveness across the entire mobility industry, including not only mechanical and automotive fields but also aerospace and other related fields.
